The Habit of Networking & Connecting
“Your network is your net worth.”
—Tim Sanders (American Best-Selling Author &
Public Speaker)
I was a typical 9-5 job person, where my task was to finish
my work in the stipulated period of time and go home.
Here the mentality was, an employee can’t think of doing
anything else that can help him or her achieve their goals,
so basically limited interaction with people post working
hours.
I have had a chance to attend a seminar held in April,
2019 and that was an eye-opener to me. Meeting so many
people, from different walks of life, made me realise the
importance of networking in its true sense. My mentor gave me an opportunity to connect with
so many people with similar mind set, who were working
religiously on their self-transformation. Different people,
different insights, that is what you learn from networking.
One of the persons I met there was Seema Naik,
founder of Blissful Affiliate (Self-transformation coaching
company), she also runs Robotics Coaching. I found her
to be exceptionally different and bright.
I interacted with her a couple of times and later on we
developed an amazing and a valuable friendship. How to
collaborate with other business owners, how to manage
family and business together is what I got to learn from
her.
Another person I got connected to was Ronak Vora, a
fitness expert. Ronak guided me on my health and fitness
with his amazing expertise in this field. He is one of the
youngest fitness coaches and has made a name for himself.
We generally, do not like to invest money for our own
fitness. Getting to know Ronak and his work made me
believe how important our physical health and fitness is.
My friends Sagar Garve a simple yet highly
knowledgeable person helped me to enhance my skills
in digital marketing and coached me on how to make
YouTube videos.
Sandeep Jadhav, a writer himself with great potential
helped me understand the basics of human psychology
and Manoj Sonawane, author of an amazing book
‘Learning2.0’, played an important part in structuring my
ideas of writing a book and managing time.
Getting connected with successful people and learning
from their life-story and experiences will help us in the
long run and you can shape up your life accordingly. This
is an amazing advantage of networking.
Once you know whom you need to follow and get
connected to, you will never get in touch with negative
influencers and waste your precious time.
You may already have a few negative people in your
life, in your office, as your neighbours, in your network
and for some reason you can’t remove them but what you
can do is, you can avoid them with minimum interaction.
Surround yourself with positive minds and keep away
from the negative ones, in this way, you will build a better
network, learn more and keep your circle healthier!
Another best way to practice positivity is to join a good
self-transformation coaching company, or get associated
with a good mentor and start training under them, you
will meet more like-minded people and interaction will
be fun while you learn!
Inspired Action
You have a choice and you will know what works better
for you and who can be in your life.
