The Habit of Asking
“Asking is the first step in creative process. So, make it a habit to ask.”
—Rhonda Byrne is an Australian television writer and producer ASK A: Always S: Seek K: Knowledge In general, either people ask too many questions or they don’t bother to ask at all. There are times when we don’t seek answers thinking we will find those someday; at times we hesitate to ask. Well, the more you ask, the more you will gain knowledge. It is said, the more you ask, the more you know!
Five ways to ask for better clarity:
- Ask Clearly: Be clear in your questions, even if you have confusion in your mind about something. It is advisable that you frame the question in a way that will help the person answer you accordingly.
- Ask confidently: It is alright to be a bit hesitant to question something about something you
would want to know, and that is quite natural. Do remember, it will be much easier if you are confident enough to ask questions you seek answers for. - Ask Consistently: Do not stop yourself from asking. If you don’t ask, you will not know! It is always
good to be inquisitive and make sure you get your answers. - Ask Creatively: Frame your questions creatively, for people to answer and be patient, till you get your
answer. Do not be impatient. The one who answers you will know more and would like to share their
knowledge openly. Smart questions are your way upwards. - Ask Sincerely: It is alright to not know answers and hence you are bound to ask questions. Ask, do not worry and limit yourself. If you sincerely ask, the person who answers you will be more than happy to help you know more.
